Offering to our customers more and more efficient personalized services: this is the new goal for the #CallForGrowth on Insurtech launched by Generali Italia and growITup, an Open Innovation platform created by Cariplo Factory in collaboration with Microsoft. Innovative startups are the best tool to accelerate digital transformation in the Insurance field.

The project of Generali Italia and growITup counts on Innovation to expand and enhance the portfolio of services. A trend that, at an international level, is registering an exponential growth with Investments in the Insurtech industry that have more than tripled, going from 0.8 billion in 2014 to 2.7 billion in 2015.

According to a recent study conducted by Accenture, one of the growITup solution partners (in addition to Microsoft, Avanade and HP Enterprise and more…), innovative technologies such as Intelligence Automation and Predictable Disruption will impact the business models in the Insurance Industry in a significant way.

To apply to the #CallForGrowth, the startups need to be focus on the following areas:

  1. Digital Technologies solutions related to the Insurance field: digital solutions to make the insurance machine more efficient. For example: refund requests; policy consultation; virtual assistance; handwriting recognition.
  2. Provisioning of digital non-insurance services in the Health field. For example: access to medical performances, such as booking and feedback management; health Information, prevention and behavioral change; care and assistance paths; Services for healthcare facilities.
  3. Corporate Welfare Support Solutions. For example: technological nursing; digital business outpatient clinics; tools for monitoring the health of employees at the workplace; advanced emergency kits.

To join the #CallForGrowth on Insurtech, the startups, must be in a post-seed stage, have significant activity in Italy and need to apply here before the 30th of September.

After the preliminary screening, startups will be involved in a selection workshop that will take place on October 16th. During this event, Generali Italia will have the opportunity to evaluate the highest potential startups to whom collaborate with.
